Vortex
What is the Vortex?
The Vortex refers to both the main feature of the site consisting of a live feed of posts, as well as, the site-wide group for all members.
The Vortex group represents the community of all site members-regardless of the creative field or location. Members can freely use this group given the general intentions of the site, and to gain perspective from other members outside of their niche or personal network.
Why do I have to have a 'required topic' when posting?
Topics are required for each post to maintain consistency with the community's intentions to provide a productive, collaborative environment. Certain topics can vary depending on the group you are posting from. When you go to a specific group page you can click on a specific topic and all relevant posts will populate.
How can I manage which posts I see on the Vortex live feed?
The Vortex live feed will automatically show posts from the main Vortex group for all site members. However, you can join other groups or create your own*.
You can filter the live feed to only show content from a specific group. Additionally. if you go to a specific group's page, then you can filter the group posts by selecting a particular topic.
I cannot find a topic that fits the description of my post. What should I do?
Currently only group admins can create discussion topics. However, you can request a topic simply by messaging the group admin for approval. If you need further accommodation, consider creating your own group*.
